On April 14, several Access staff members celebrated Thingyan in Slacks Creek with the Australian Myanmar Friendship Association of Queensland, a festival that marks the new year in Myanmar culture. Live performances, music & the renewing of friendships took place and as Thingyan is also known as the water festival, water-throwing activities made a splash - symbolising the washing away of the previous year in preparation for the new one.
