On November 13, the national Older People Speak Out Media Awards were held in Brisbane and we are thrilled to say that a story published in The Senior about Access Co-Founder and mother of CEO Gail Ker, Noeline Clamp, took out the Positive Portrayal of Ageing – Multicultural’ category. We would like to thank journalist Heather Grant-Campbell for the lovely story on Noeline (or ‘mum’ as she is known to everyone) and the beginnings of Access. In her own words, Heather stated, “I don’t write stories for awards, I write to raise awareness of issues. It was my privilege to talk with Noeline.” To read the article featuring Noeline, click here.
