The Logan FLAG (Financial Literacy Action Group) showcase was held on October 18 at The Access Gateway to share with the community what Logan FLAG has done to raise awareness around the financial literacy issues, with the motto of ‘Financial Literacy is everyone’s business’. Logan FLAG has run a CALD women’s financial literacy bus tour, financial literacy expos, community education activities and professional development opportunities for frontline staff. Services from all over Logan had input in shaping the direction of FLAG and have also had the opportunity to be champions in the space. Some of the FLAG members include Access, Benevolent society, DHS, Office of Fair Trading, Legal Aid Queensland, YFS, Logan Libraries, Relationships Australia, Multilink and Salvation Army.
