Access Research and Grants Officer, Chantal Gallant was recently proud to represent Access at a Public Seminar on “Responses to Syrian-Conflict Refugee Settlement in Australia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, UK, Canada and New Zealand” at UTS Business School. As an ARC linkage partner investigator, Access joined academics, policy makers and service providers from across the globe to discuss initial findings from family interviews focused on settlement, employment and education, and conduct an international comparative analysis of settlement policy. This three-year longitudinal project investigates the settlement experiences of refugees displaced by the Syrian conflict and builds evidence for effective responses to the complex issues faced thereby.
