Homelands Arts Tour

Settlement Services International (SSI), Access Community Services and BEMAC are proud to present Homelands, a week long multi-disciplinary arts tour across Queensland and New South Wales.

Showcasing seven talented artists, Homelands aims to raise awareness and understanding of refugee experiences through cinematic exhibitions, live music, Q&As and workshops. Homelands brings artists and communities together in creative and meaningful ways that promote social cohesion and unity.

The program

‘Beyond Refuge’ exhibition - a series of captivating and poignant cinema poems and photo-stories produced by CuriousWorks, created by six Sydney based artists who share an asylum seeker and refugee experience. The series encompasses:

  • New home, New hopes – created by Elham BehinAein
  • My name is Mohamed and Raghad. We don’t exist here anymore - directed by Ali Mousawi
