HARMONY ON CARMODY CAFE HOSTS CHRISTMAS DINNER FOR THOSE IN NEED
Access Community Services’ social enterprise, Harmony on Carmody Café, has announced that it will be hosting a Community Christmas Dinner for those in need this holiday season.
Partnering with community organisation, Rosies, Harmony on Carmody will be providing a Christmas dinner, drinks and dessert to people in the community who are doing it tough this Christmas.
To celebrate the season of giving, Harmony on Carmody has also launched an appeal for the community to get involved and sponsor a person’s meal for just $10. Harmony on Carmody café Manager, Trent Ker says “It’s important to think of others during this month who may not have the same luxuries as we do. A simple warm Christmas meal, among people of the community – who often do not get this opportunity - can make a big difference in someone’s life.”
Harmony on Carmody’s promotion of positivity and generosity amongst community has also already seen amazing outcomes through their Suspended Coffees. The Suspended Coffees movement highlights the simple acts of kindness that happen around us and encourages others to do the same. A suspended coffee is the advance purchase of a cup of coffee for someone who needs it, no matter why. Since starting the movement in June this year, Harmony on Carmody has sold over 500 suspended coffees (that’s almost 5 a day!), demonstrating just how kind and generous the Logan community is.
To get involved and continue the kindness, simply visit Harmony on Carmody café to purchase your sponsored dinner or suspended coffee.
If you are looking to attend the Christmas Dinner, please contact Rosies on (07) 3396 4267 to reserve your spot.
