We are delighted that both of our nominees for the Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion Program were successful in becoming Digital Champions! The program acknowledges Queenslanders who are making a difference in others’ lives through the promotion of digital literacy, whether it is helping local businesses or communities.

Access staff member Monica Rivas was nominated for her work with the client programs she runs as Access’ Community Education Coordinator.

And remember Kein Sheldrake - the not-so-average 12 year old who spends his spare time building computers for migrants and refugees? He too is now a Community Digital Champion. Congratulations to both of these champions - we look forward to seeing even greater things from them both to come, with the support of this new role.
