On June 8, Access will be hosting its annual Community Iftar Dinner in conjunction with the Queensland Intercultural Society. Iftar is the meal shared after sunset to break the fast during the month of Ramadan. All over the world, Muslims come together to share the evening meal with their family, friends and community.
Open to the general public, the Community Iftar Dinner will be held in the carpark of our social enterprise café Harmony on Carmody, on the corner of Ewing Rd and Carmody St in Logan Central. Promoting generosity, respect and kindness, the dinner is a way of breaking down cultural barriers through shared food and friendships. So bring your kids, bring your family, your neighbours, friends and loved ones and join us for dinner and a local celebration of our diverse, multicultural community. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event – no RSVP necessary, just show up on the night! For more information, contact [email protected] or phone 3412 9919.
