
Community Education
The community education team delivers culturally and linguistically sensitive information sessions and workshops to groups of Settlement Services clients. These sessions take into account the different literacy levels and cultural backgrounds of the participants and are delivered in partnership with local organisations. This community education team aims to increase clients’:
- knowledge of and ability to participate in Australian society
- knowledge and ability to navigate and access mainstream support services
- knowledge of where to get assistance and advice
- personal capacity and independence to solve problems as they arise
- ability to provide information about living in Australia to other community members

- Living in Australia Sessions
- Super Sisters
- Homework Club
- Access Menshed
- Community Action for Multicultural Society (CAMS)
- Zomi Women Sewing and Skills Training
- Driver Literacy Transport and Main Road Training
- Small Business and Employment Workshops
- Community Leaders Forums
