Access Research and Grants Officer Chantal Gallant and Project Development Manager Annie Rutherford recently attended the ANROWS Action Research Workshop in Alice Springs to share findings from the “Living Together, Living Safely” project, funded through the DSS Building Safe Communities for Women grant. This project was developed with outcomes in mind that will empower CALD communities, improve cohesion between organisations and communities and build capacity solutions to reduce violence against women. Chantal and Annie participated in a Community of Practice focused on domestic and family violence prevention among vulnerable groups and an Aboriginal activity with the Tangentyere Council. They were also treated to the local cuisine - damper and kangaroo tails.
