Wednesday March 8 saw close to 300 of our friends and colleagues dine together with us to honour and celebrate the remarkable achievements of women from refugee and migrant backgrounds, as part of Access’ International Women’s Day festivities. The day featured guest speaker and Logan City Mayor Luke Smith, Access CEO Gail Ker as well as a panel discussion with three women from culturally diverse backgrounds about the challenges they have had to overcome and the inspirational people in their lives. The event wrapped up with the announcement of the worthy winners of Access’ inaugural Queensland Women in Leadership Awards. Check out the day’s photos on our Facebook page.
