Community leaders held an Eid celebration for our Afghan community on 23 May, with Access supporting this event by funding face painting and henna for children (and their parents!).

Eid al-Fitr, or simply Eid, is a festival in the Islamic faith that marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long fast. It is a time when friends and family come together to celebrate each other.

This was a great event to connect the community with its leaders and help combat the social isolation that the Afghan community often faces. We look forward to a similar celebration for Eid next year!
