Access celebrated QLD Women’s Week and International Women’s Day in style, with a luncheon on March 8 at Gould Adams Community Centre. We had a huge turnout with over 140 men and women from the greater community attending the event, including Member for Rankin, Jim Chalmers MP and Logan councillors Jennie Breene, Laurie Koranski, Steve Swenson, Laurie Smith and Jon Raven. The event included an inspiring Key Note speech from Christine Mudavanhu, founder of PickUp Australia, an empowering panel discussion and entertainment from spectacular Slam Poet Anisa Nandaula.

Seven videos were also shown on the day, featuring women from the community who have overcome adversity and demonstrated qualities of leadership, strength and resilience throughout many different areas of their lives. You can also catch these inspirational videos on our Facebook page as they were released each day of QLD Women’s Week.
