99 Steps
Free and confidential support for women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds affected by domestic and family violence.
What we do
99 Steps is a service that provides support for women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who are affected by domestic and family violence and who live in Logan and Beenleigh. We welcome women who have come to Australia as refugees or as immigrants or who are here on a temporary visa. This includes people who are awaiting resolution of their immigration status. We are part of Access Community Services and receive funding from the Queensland government.
How we can help
Our mission is simple. We help women to increase their safety and wellbeing. We do this through:
- Culturally appropriate counselling
- Safety planning
- Help to access government services
- Referral for legal advice and information
- Referral to high security emergency accommodation
- Assistance to apply for or make changes to long term housing
- Referrals to appropriate services to obtain financial support
- Court support
- Support, information and referral for children
- Care coordination
